At the BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB), we are committed to being an inclusive employer representative of the people of British Columbia. We want our employees, customers, and our communities to know that we stand for equity, and we are committed to creating safe, inclusive environments for all.
We believe pride is in the everyday actions you take so that everyone in our community can show up as exactly who they are.
In 2023, we are proud to launch our second Do You Proud campaign, in celebration of Pride. The campaign tells the stories of the people who make up our LDB community, and celebrates the ways they do themselves, and their communities, proud. Throughout the month of June, customers visiting BCLIQUOR (BCL) and BC Cannabis Stores (BCCS) will see these stories featured throughout our stores.

In honour of the LDB’s Do You Proud campaign, we’re inviting customers visiting select BCL locations and BCCS throughout the province to make a donation at the checkout in support of QMUNITY, B.C.’s 2SLGBTQIA+ resource centre.
QMUNITY provides safer spaces and personalized support services for queer, trans, and Two-Spirit people and their allies to live healthier, happier, and better lives.
Donations made via BCL and BCCS will go towards supporting QMUNITY in offering counselling services and peer support groups for 2SLGBTQIA+ people.
Our 2022 campaign in support of QMUNITY raised more than $25,200 and contriuted to QMUNITY being able to establish a brand new stream for youth to access 10 free counselling sessions and expand the variety of gender-affirming garments being offered to youth across the province.
Donations can also be made directly via QMUNITY's website.
The LDB has created a resource aimed at educating employees about the struggles and progress of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities within British Columbia. The resource can be viewed here.
