ANNUAL PREMIUM SPIRITS RELEASE

VANCOUVER – BC Liquor Stores is pleased to release a special collection of premium spirits — whiskies, tequilas and rums — on Saturday, November 6, 2010.


This year’s premium spirit release features world-class products of interest for the collector as well as the novice. The selection includes aged malt and various whiskies, vintage releases, unique and limited cask finishing, along with tequila and rum offerings within a wide range of prices.
 

BC Liquor Stores' Dry Grad Fundraising Campaign Underway

VANCOUVER – BC Liquor Stores begins this year’s Support Dry Grad fundraising campaign.

Until March 31, BC Liquor Stores customers will be able to support dry grad celebrations in their communities by donating $1.00 or more at their local BC Liquor Stores. All donations will be distributed to high schools planning alcohol-free graduation celebrations.
 

Liquor Distribution Branch Collects $323,902 for Africa

BC Liquor Stores customers and staff are making a difference in the Horn of Africa by donating $323,902 to help support Red Cross relief efforts in Somalia, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Uganda.
 

Donations are matched by the Government of Canada, doubling the contribution.

BC Liquor Stores collected the donations between Friday, Aug. 5 and Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011 at their 197 locations. The funds raised have been added to the Canadian Red Cross Horn of Africa Relief Fund.

BC Liquor Stores Dry Grad fundraising campaign underway

Today, Minister Rich Coleman launched this year’s Support Dry Grad fundraising campaign at R.E. Mountain Secondary school in Langley.

From Feb. 25 until March 31, BC Liquor Store customers can donate $1 or more to Support Dry Grad celebrations in their communities. The money collected is used by local high school Dry Grad planning committees to plan alcohol-free high school graduation events and activities such as boat cruises, ski trips and dances.
